Taishan is located in Guangdong's Jiangmen. The area is best known for its ocean islands, hot springs, river drifting, as well as being one of the hometowns of overseas Chinese. Ocean islands include Xiachuan Island, Shangchuan Island and Naqin Peninsula. Hot springs include Kangqiao Hot Springs, Fudu Hot Springs and Xiyunlai Hot Springs. River drifting locations include Beifeng Mountain National Park and Fenghuangxia Scenic Area. Gangning Village and Meijia Town are two places where many Overseas Chinese emigrated from. A visit to Taishan should definitely include these scenic spots
Xiachuan Island Wangfuzhou Tourist Area features pristine coastal scenery, ideal for beach-side strolls, watching sunrises and enjoying the gorgeous sunsets. Kilometers of coconut trees line the beach, swaying in the sea breeze, greeting travelers as they meander down the coast. Visitors can also climb the ascending stones to get a view of the “Seven Stars and Moon”, a group of small islands off the coast. This is a great place to taste local and tasty seafood.
The Naqing Peninsula Geological Ocean Park is located in the gulf south of Taishan City’s Beidou Town. The gorgeous scenery features a scattering of fascinatingly shaped rocks. The park contains a vacation resort where guests can go fishing, eat barbecue or pick fruit. Guests can stroll along the wooden trestle bridge, and see Lingtu Wangyue, the Buddha Foot Statue, and Spirit Monkey Seaview. It's also a great place to watch the sunset.
Shangchuan Island Fei Beach Tourism Resort Area is located in Jiangmen's Taishan. This was one of the important stops on the Marine Silk Road. The first Catholic missionary in China, St. Francis Xavier, died here while waiting for a ship to take him to the mainland. As a result, the island has many monuments and statues dedicated to him. The resort has a lengthy coastline with fine sand and clear water. Visitors can enjoy fresh air, build sandcastles, visit cultural attractions and eat all kinds of delicious seafood.
Langqin Bay is located in the southern area of Beidou Town, Taishan. It is a tourist destination that has not yet been developed in earnest. The seawater is clear, the beach is quiet, reefs are scattered along the shoreline, and the scenery is incredibly enchanting at sunset. There are large and small fishing villages around the bay. You can go fishing on the fishermen’s boats and enjoy a hearty seafood dinner afterwards.
