By the way, I felt nostalgic that there was a Utaka Ferry. Many bridges were abolished by connecting to Honshu.

When I was a child, I traveled on the Utaka Ferry several times. It was the equal "Sanuki Udon" of the Utaka Ferry. At the same time as the departure, everyone headed to the deck and had a plain udon. Unfortunately, it disappeared with the times, but I was happy that only a few of them are still left as monuments.

The yagura attached to the former Utaka connecting ship "Sanuki Maru" was exhibited as a monument, and it was on the back side of the hotel in front of the station. I like the nameplate with only the letter "" without any explanation.

Until the opening of the Seto Ohashi Bridge, the Utaka Ferry was the key to transportation, but its history is also weathering, and a quietly rusty rust is placed beside Hotel Clement.
