Nanhu Ecotourism Resort is in downtown Tangshan City. Its original site was a subsidence area formed by mining in the Kailuan Coal Mine. After years of restructuring, the resort has various tourist attractions. The resort is divided into the core area and the experience area. The core area centers on the waters in the east and in the west. Using the dancing phoenix as its plan, the resort's overall layout is that of "one axis with eight parks." The experience area meets the demands of industrial and ecotourism service and has the traffic framework of "two horizontal lines and three vertical lines." The area offers four function segments, including a wetland experience segment, an agriculture sightseeing segment, a forest leisure segment and a green sports segment.
