About Moreton Island

Moreton Island is a large island in Brisbane, and most of the island's area is covered by national parks. It is known worldwide for its wild dolphins, so it is also known as the "Dolphin Island." It is located in the Pacific Ocean, so you can see whales, seabirds, large groups of dolphins, and enjoy sand tobogganing. In addition to the stunning beach view, the Tangjia Luma Dolphin Resort is another attraction of this island. The island also features Queensland’s ancient lighthouse, wonderful oceanic beaches and blue lagoon at Cape Moreton.

Moreton Island is a third largest sand island in the world. We purchased a full day tour ticket via Tangalooma, and the package include guaranteed humpback whales watching (seasonal during June-November), day trip to Tangalooma island (which you can do heli-tour the island, sand dune, ATV riding and dolphin feeding - all activities are chargeable). As the whale watching is a three-hour tour, by the time we return back the island, we only have around 4 hours to explore the island (some people choose to stay overnight). If you don’t wish to pay extra, you can enjoy the sunset by the beach, see the pelican and kookaburra feeding, as well as dolphin feeding (we are lucky that the wave is too strong, so the ranger allows all the tourists to feed the dolphin for free!)The tour starts from 10am ends at 7pm, departs from tangalooma resort terminal, there is a 4pm return slot but you will miss the dolphin feeding, tour package is around AU$130.

The scenery is pleasant and suitable for vacation and leisure. There are Chinese restaurant Firestone and Western restaurant on the island, as well as a convenience store, but there are not many things. There are many recreational items, such as sand skiing, bus sightseeing, four-wheel drive, helicopter, dolphin feeding at night, etc., but some items are greatly affected by the weather. There are Chinese service personnel, but most of them are English service. It's better to have some basic communication. Tiange Luma has four residential areas, suitable for different groups of people to vacation, ordinary rooms, family suites, duplex suites are available, you can bring your own food barbecue, here are open-air swimming pools, stadiums and so on. The island's ecology is very good. There are many small animals on the island

Dolphin Island must not be missed in Brisbane because the island is shaped like a dolphin, although the island is not fully developed, but the only hotel with relatively complete facilities, Tiange Luma, must stay in the clear water for one night. The sea in Southeast Asia can not be compared to the evening when there will be dolphins swimming to the shore to feed wild dolphins, especially happy and excited.

Morton Island, also known as Dolphin Island, has the name Dolphin Island because it looks like a dolphin and there are many dolphins nearby. The scenery here is really beautiful, especially the cloudless blue sky. It's so beautiful. Although the hotel on the island has only 3.5 stars, but the facilities are relatively complete. We live in a room for the disabled, which is a little inconvenient for us to use. But for the disabled, there are barrier-free access, which is convenient for the disabled to accommodate and quite humane. Ice cream on the island is very delicious. I strongly recommend it! There are many recreational facilities on the island, so you can choose your favorite experience.

Dolphin Island is commonly known as Dolphin Island. The beach sand on the island is very thin and flat, and there are many items to play. The most interesting thing is to feed wild dolphins at night. It is said that dolphins in the island come at this time every day. At most, there are more than a dozen dolphins because they have been fed by someone for more than 20 years. Tourists can also experience them personally, which is very interesting.

Morton Island is an outer island of Brisbane. The whole island has undergone a good commercial development. There are many hotels, and the beach is smooth and soft. Because he is an outsider and surrounded by the sea, the island is also a sacred place for diving and watching sunrise and sunset, especially sunset. The red of Sky Base stains the whole island with bright red. The scenery is very gorgeous. It is really beautiful and romantic.

Tangalooma Resort is the only resort on the island. We were on a yacht operated by Tiange Luma Resort, which crossed Merton Bay and arrived in about 75 minutes. If you don't want to stay on the island, there are also one-day tour groups that can come and go on the same day. But dolphin feeding is a feature that starts at night, so it's better to stay overnight. I heard that Jay Chou and Kunling's honeymoon trip came here.
