Built in 1903, was the gift of Charles MacDonald and his wife. Mr. MacDonald, born in Gananoque, was an eniment bridge builder in the USA and Canda. In his latter years he resided at Blinkbonnie, and died there in 1923.
In the evening, we return to the Qiandao Lake Pier, the beautiful town of GANANOQUE in the sunset! The classic cars parked on the street, and the people sitting on the balcony enjoying dinner leisurely in the sunset, let you know the difference between "living" and "alive".
This is an impressive monument. We could not go inside but the architecture is worth looking at. You can see it from many places in Gananoque.
Gananoque Clock Tower is truly majestic. One can easily spot the same, when driving around in Gananoque. Worth visiting.
The plaque does tell you about the origins ... yikes 50 characters left to describe a clock tower ... LOL. Phew.
This majestic clock tower is a must see in Gananoque, even if you are passing by. It has a long history and a visit after reading up will make it more interesting.
This clock tower reminded us of the one in Niagara-on-the -Lake and some European ones. Definitely worth a drive by or stop for a photo.
