There is a monument on the planting beside the entrance of Chiyoda Ward Uchiyukicho Hall (Uchiyukicho 1-5-1) in the east of Daiichi Hotel Annex. It is a monument to "Higuchi Ichiyo's birthplace". He was born in 1872 as the second daughter of his father, Noriyoshi Higuchi, who was an official of the Tokyo prefectural police in the samurai Nagaya (present-day Uchiyukicho 1-5-2) in the premises of Tokyo Prefecture. It is recommended to look at it as one of the birthplaces of a short life.
