forestwolfXianghai, formerly known as "Xianghai", is a national nature reserve located in Tongyu County, Baicheng City, Jilin Province, in the middle of Horqin Grassland. It is a national nature reserve, with a total area of 106,700 hectares of national AAAA level nature reserve and international AAA level nature reserve, which is a typical grassland landform. The longest is 45 kilometers from north to south, and the widest is 42 kilometers from east to west. It borders Inner Mongolia Keyouzhong Banner to the west and Taonan City to the north. The Huolin River runs from east to west in the southern part of the reserve, the Emutai River flows into the wetland in the middle, and the Taoer River flows into the reservoir in the north. The reserve spans five townships, 12 villages, and 32 natural villages in Tongyu County. A population of 20,000 is engaged in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, sideline, and fishery in the area.

forestwolfTaoer River is the largest tributary on the right bank of the Songhua River in the Heilongjiang River System. It is located in the Xing'an League of Inner Mongolia and the northwest of Jilin Province. It originates from Jiudaogou, Bailang Town, Aershan City, Gaoyue Mountain, southeast of Daxing'an Mountains, Inner Mongolia. It is composed of 10 small rivers of different sizes. The southeast flows through Keyouqianqi, Ulanhot City, Taobei District, Taonan City, and Zhenlai County, and injects moon bubbles in the north of Da'an City, and then flows into the Nenjiang River. It is 553 kilometers long (in one case, 595 kilometers, 563 kilometers), and the drainage area is 30,800 square kilometers (in other words, 33,100 square kilometers). It flows from northwest to southeast to the Guiliu River in Ulanhot, to Taonan City in Jilin Province, and turns to the northeast to flow into the Nenjiang River.
