As previously noted here, the restaurant is no longer called Gasa, although the new name doesn&#39;t show up in any listings, and the old telephone number still works. I&#39;ve been here a few times, always for the Kotthu Roti, which is delicious and made fresh to order, as spicy as you would like. In addition to take out, we&#39;ve ordered trays and the price is very reasonable and the food excellent. Can&#39;t speak to the poor customer service too much. He may not be the most warm and fuzzy owner you&#39;ll ever meet, but he serves you good food, quickly and it&#39;s delicious.

On Friday Mach 25th, 2016 at around 4:30 pm I had gone to Gasa Restaurant is now known as Babu Villas at the Scarborough location pick up dinner for my family I had a large order of rotis, kothu roti, and string hoppers (known as Idiyappam in Tamil) etc. Although I had called in ahead with a few hours notice I still had to wait quite a significant amount of time to be served. When arriving home I opened the Styrofoam take-out container that the string hoppers came in only to be appalled by the sight inside. These string hoppers had fungi (of some sort of nature) growing on it! I had called the store to inform the individual that was working there about this matter and to check all their products before serving customers. The employee denied that such a thing could have happened, accused me of lying and hung up on me. A few minutes later he called me back and suggested that I bring back the hoppers and he would give me a fresh set. I was not interested in getting my money back or getting exchanging the product since I live quite a distance from the store location. The only thing that I hope from this review is that; the owners of this business as well as employees and future customers please check the food that you are purchasing or serving especially if it is being pre-packed for take out not only at this restaurant but any business that provides food.
