this is a small place, limited seating, takes only debit or cash, BUT the portions are huge. The dinner platters and sandwiches are plate sized, and I don't exaggerate, and are pounded fresh upon each order, very thin, lightly breaded and one of the top 5 Schnitzels in Toronto. No parking during evening rush hour, the food is amazing for anyone downtown. I had the "gourmet schnitzel dinner" with potato salad ( which I suggest you take some out), sauerkraut, and a platter sized portion of schnitzel with fried onions, bacon, and a mushroom sauce wow! I saw some sandwiches, which were huge and overflowing with meat and tomatoes. Give it a try, a must!
Ambience - 3/5 The restaurant is more of a takeaway with a small area to sit in. Unfortunately in the cold the place is freezing. Location - 3/5 This is not a place that you will go out your way to go to as it's more of a takeaway place. It's handy in that part of town but for any other part of town it's not ideal Service - 4/5 Really helpful staff and seems to know his customers well. Food - 5/5 Schnitzel was deliscious and such a large portion. The sand which was massive and unexpected whilst the regular meal came with potato salad and veg. THe soup we had was broccoli and was really good whilst we heard the chef pounding the chicken into a schinitzel in the kitchen which told us it was fresh. Value - 5/5 The price was astounding at only 12 Canadian dollars per dish.
It is not a fancy place but the food quality is great. I go there for take-out lunches. Highly recommended!
