Torrance Gallery is proving to be one of the most interesting art venues in the Los Angeles area. It is not easy to find interesting contemporary art in Los Angeles. Most of the galleries in the Los Angeles area focus on blue chips, history and modernist art. In this vast megacity, there are relatively few and far between large galleries and museums that really focus on cutting-edge technology. The Torrance Gallery is one of the few museums in the Los Angeles area that are publicly funded in the Kunsthalle style. Assistant curator Benjamin Tipbin (Benjamin Tippin) said their current focus is on art, which defines the edge between digital art, sculpture and video. Torrance's director and chief curator Max Pregnier (Max Presneill) was named one of the "Eight Best Art Curators in Los Angeles" by CBS Los Angeles. It is well worth a visit.
