About Toyako: Toyako Lake is located in the southwestern part of Hokkaido and belongs to the Tozan National Park. The volcano erupted frequently in the early 20th century and formed the lake after it was trapped. Because Donghu Lake is relatively wide, the outer mountain is relatively low from the lake, only 200 to 500 meters, so it gives a very broad feeling. Near the lakeshore is the Showa Shinzan, a new terrain that was raised in the fault caused by the earthquake in 1943, and still emits white smoke. There is the famous Toyako Onsen on the caldera lake, which is one of the few hot spring resorts in Hokkaido.
