Nice clock tower n walking around this tower make u feel that time s precious
A nice piece of history and easy to find. It's an easy stroll and close to lots of nice local restaurants and cafes.
amazing clock history
The view from the Atkinson Clock Tower of the city and coast is pretty great. It's one of the oldest in town and it survived World War II! A short walk up to here is a good work out as well. One of the must places to check out in KK.
The Atkinson Clock Tower is one of the oldest and very few structures in Sabah that survived the wreckage caused by World War II. Situated on a bluff along Signal Hill Road, this wooden clock tower was built in 1905 in memory of Francis George Atkinson. He was the first District Officer of Jesselton during the British North Borneo Chartered Company Administration. Till this very day, the clock still functions perfectly and keeps time for the people of Kota Kinabalu.
