It is the only medieval building preserved in the main square and is considered a masterpiece of folk Gothic architecture. The oldest part of the current city hall is its east wing, built in 1420. The tower of the town hall is 96 meters high in the Brabantine Gothic style and was completed in 1454.
sculptorThe Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula is a medieval Roman Catholic church in Brussels, central Belgium. It was dedicated to Saint Michael and Saint Gudura of Brussels and is considered one of the best examples of Brabantín Gothic architecture. The construction of the church began in the 11th century and was almost completed by the 16th century, although its interior was often modified in the following centuries. The church was granted cathedral status in 1962.
