About Urumqi County: Ürümqi County is located in the northern foothills of the Tian Shan at the southern edge of the Junggar Basin. Ürümqi County is situated in the interior of the Eurasian continent. Naadam is a Mongolian festival with a long history. “Naadam” is Mongolian for “entertainment” or “games” and represents the joys of a bumper harvest. The Naadam festival features activities such as thrilling horse races and wrestling.
