What people are saying:

Travel to Japan without leaving Canada’s west coast. Visit the Nitobe Memorial Garden at the University of British Columbia. There an oasis of calm awaits you along with the chance to experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. The ceremonial tea house is open on the last Saturday of every month from May until September. Kimono-clad hosts will greet you and you’ll join a maximum of seven other guests for the ceremony. Matcha tea will be prepared in the traditional manner. The taste is unique and unlike brews found in Japanese restaurants. Reserve your spot to enjoy this timeless tradition.

What a beautiful garden! This well maintained paradise takes you in the world of magic, lost in time and space. Tickets are sold online and need to be booked in advance.

    A really beautiful tranquil place.

This beautiful park is well worth a visit especially on a lovely sunny day. It is peaceful, calming, relaxing, all that a park should be. Take a picnic and have lunch here. And it has a girt shop.

    Very nice

Great place, UBC, kind of hidden away. Quiet spot to unwind, relax, enjoy a peaceful walk or sit and enjoy the scenery.

Close to a parkade so easy to park. We bought a combined ticket for the botanical gardens also. Our son was free as he attends UBC. The gardens are quite small but very beautiful and photogenic. I ca...
