The Roundhouse Community Center in Yaletown is also home to Engine 374, symbol of Canadian locomotive designs and technological advances. For those rail/locomotive buffs, you will find visiting the 374 Pavilion informative and just really cool. Even better, admission is free!
A place not to be missed by train fans... The Vancouver fan-shaped garage, also known as the round machine garage, was originally a strangely shaped garage, but has now been converted into a fan-shaped community arts and cultural center (Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre). Many facilities related to railway locomotives are displayed here, including repair tools, old railways, and prototypes of various antique steam locomotives.
