Very beautiful flowers in a spectacular arrangement. During the winter holidays this garden lights up.
On the Cambie bus line, 10 mins from King Edward Avenue. A must see for tourists.
This is a place I have been going to since I was a kid! I absolutely love a trip to VanDusen Botanical Garden, where you can easily get lost in time and end up spending an entire day just admiring the beauty here! Transport yourself from the city (within the city) to an incredibly peaceful oasis the moment you step foot at the gardens. Located just south of Downtown Vancouver, the gardens can be reached easily by car or transit, making for a great way to spend an afternoon. The hedge maze here is one of my favourite parts, so be sure to get lost and have fun finding yourself (and your companion) again. Photographer's, be sure to bring all your DSLR! You might also get lucky and find an event, like a wedding or Super Luxury Racecars, happening on the grounds during the summer months.
20 Kms from the property, the VanDusen Botanical Gardens is a beautiful Garden greatly enjoyed by all Nature Lovers.
This Garden is big enough to spend hours in. Wandering the paths of VanDusen you can easily escape the business of the world. Each area is meticulously kept and exotic plant species can be found throughout the space. Look out for the little "plant name tags" on the edge of the beautifully landscaped areas to find out what type and where each plant is from. There is a hedge maze in the gardens as well. Don't worry though, it's simple enough that even children can escape from it. The gardens often have special events running each season. The Christmas lights during the winter are something that should not be missed. Families with children will find this is a great place to bring the kids.
With its awe-inspiring greenery, this lush botanical garden, located in the heart of Vancouver’s placid Shaughnessy neighbourhood, will inspire even the most graceful gardener. Aside from the stunning botanicals, there is also a white table cloth restaurant, Shaughnessy Restaurant, and the more casual Truffles Café, which offers take away picnic meals in summer, if you’re looking to linger. While seasonal exhibits happen year-round, come here during the Christmas season and you’ll be treated to a unique festival of lights that adorn the gardens’ walking paths.
Another peaceful oasis in the middle of the city. I love, love this garden.
This is Vancouver's finest pay garden. It's large enough to be a park yet it's not classified as a park and the neat thing about this garden is that it isn't all completely flat. It's not crowded because it cost money but it's an excellent place to take photos and enjoy nature in a peaceful setting right in the city of Vancouver. There is a neat maze, nice koi pond, beautiful fountains, and a scenic path. Very lovely! Just be careful of coyotes so if you have kids or young ones, make sure you look out for dangers of the known coyotes in the Garden.
Great place to go during events!
