The fortress of Tsarevets is among the top 3 historical sights of the Balkan peninsula and #bulgaria of course. It is on the top of the hill in Veliko Tarnovo city. In the 14th century it was among the last Bulgarian fortress' that were been occupied. Nowadays is very important tourist attraction and also it features light show from time to time.
Twelve to fourteenth century Veliko Tarnovo was once the capital of Bulgaria. The ancient city was built on the hills. The remains of the palace and castle towered on the hills of Chalevitz. The glory of the period is still identifiable.
Walk in the old town, the river valley passes through the city. Several or modern or classical murals attracted me to stop and enjoy. On the day of our arrival on May 24th, it coincided with the Bulgarian education culture and the Slavic byte, and people dressed up to celebrate the festival. The Tsarevets Castle Music Light Show after the night is a repertoire here.
