One of my favorite landmarks in Venice, this clock tells not only the time, but the position of the sun within the Zodiac signs.
Simply a stunning clock, surrounded by iconic architecture.
The Clock Tower in Venice is an early Renaissance building on the north side of the Piazza San Marco at the entrance to the Merceria. It comprises a tower, which contains the clock, and lower buildings on each side.
The clock tower is next to the main square of St. Mark's Church, and it is characterized by a large bell on the front. I didn't go to the terrace, but saw many people standing on the terrace. I think the view from above is good, and I can see the square and even the church better. The clock tower adds a lot to this beautiful square.
