Museum of Military History

Vienna military history museum is the world''s one of the most important museum of military history, not only has a long history and is the largest military museum, which shows the Austrian dissolved from the late 16th century to the 1945 military history of the monarchy. This museum claims to be the oldest and largest military history museum in the world. The Museum of Military History depicts the history of the Habsburg Empire from the end of the 16th century until 1918. You’ll find an exhibition dedicated to the Otoman wars (they marked Europe back in the days), you’ll see the car and uniform Francis Ferdinand wore when he and his wife were killed in 1914, and you’ll see tanks and artillery items outside.

Loved the museum :-) As Croatia was a part of Austria-Hungary it was really interesting to see parts of our history as well. Also, since it was the first saturday of the month, admitance was free :-)

Very good museum! I usually cry when I go to the military museum, but here I was dragged by my husband before leaving. This museum is very good. There are many exhibits and various multimedia facilities are used. The tank exhibition and the Second World War exhibition are also very interesting. I think the spatial arrangement and design of the museum are very good. The downside is that most of the introduction is in German.

If you are a boy going to the museum, you should be more interested. We took a look at the scenic spots inside and outside the museum. There are some sculptures and some historical scenes restored at that time.
