隶属于暑寒别天売焼尻国定公园的天売岛是浮现于日本海周围约12公里的很小的北海道岛屿。为世界上屈指可数的海鸟繁殖地，有冬鸟、扁嘴海雀、 尖嘴海鸭等等稀少的海鸟来此筑巢栖息。由于日本海强风.波涛汹涌的波浪冲击，形成了峭壁悬崖，对海鸟们而言是抵抗外敌入侵的最佳场所。从春天到初夏各式各样的海鸟在天空飞翔的景观另人赞叹！

Tenmai Island is an island 30 kilometers west of Haboro Port in Haboro Town, Tomamae County, Rumoi Branch Office, Hokkaido, Japan, and is located on the Sea of Japan. It belongs to Hahoro-cho, as is Yajiri Island in the southeast. The west coast of the island is a cliff topography, where murres, Dan's cormorants and great black-ridged gulls live.
