Wanaka has a beautiful lakeside, and the locals have ingeniously built an interesting trail hundreds of meters from the shore. On the right side of the trail is an asphalt road for walking. The dark red tiles on the left represent a year. From the outside of the town to the inside of the town, some important years from ancient times to the present depict major events in New Zealand. Some years are also drawn With pictures. For me as English, it is really difficult to understand the content, but if you are interested in New Zealand history, it would be nice to come here to learn about it.
The walk along to Becon Point is not long and remember when there was not so many buildings above it. Continue on to Bremner Bay and check out Disc golf in the park. If you want to go further the path...
The day we took this walk was very windy, but still beautiful scenery with ducks on the water, interesting trees and foliage along the path. Nice place to leisurly take a walk.
Nice and flat walk along the lake with some beautiful views at the lake and the mountains surrounding it.
A nice flat walk from Wanaka town to Beacon Point. Lovely path following the lake edge. Wide enough to share comfortably with bike rides. Lovely architecture along the way and spectacular scenery
The walk along the lake front is very beautiful and peaceful. There is a pathway but we decided to paddle our way round the lake - bit stoney in places so bring flip flops.
