Shimei Bay - My favorite beach in China
If you're looking for a slice of paradise in China, Shimei Bay is the perfect destination. With its crystal-clear waters, soft white sand, and lush green hills, it's the ideal place to relax and unwind.
There are two amazing resorts on Shimei Bay that I would highly recommend for your stay. The first is the Le Meridian Shimei Bay Beach Resort & Spa, which offers luxurious accommodations with stunning views of the sea. 🏨The Westin Shimei bay has a private beach that caters a lot of water sports activities.
It has cabanas for a relaxing front beach viewing.
The drinks are good, thanks to Gabriel (bartender) who spoke english and cater is during our stay.
It was a bit overpriced for food and very crowded since there are only two hotels in front of Shimei Bay.
They have a nice huge pool for kids and adults. There’s a big park infront where you can sit on the grass and take nice photos of the beach.

Haitang Bay close to Wanning on the island of Hainan is a little known tourist spot. It is still developing. and it might take some time for it to transform into the likes of Yalong Bay. But the Four Points by Sheraton is playing it’s part in making that happen.
Last year when we went in 2020 there was almost nothing to see but now in 2021 there are horses on the beach. activities from jet-skis to paddle boarding and paragliding. we can safely recommend this area to anyone on the island. if you are looking to try out something off the beaten path but still very luxurious, definitely try out this area.
The breakfast. just like any other Sheraton resort is amazing. full buffet style breakfast with freshly made dishes from western style pancakes to custom made soup noodles.
All in all. we really enjoyed our stay at this resort and look forward to how it will develops in the future. 😁

Driving along the eastern route of Hainan is simply amazing!
🚗 Hainan self-driving is divided into the eastern, central, and western routes. A round-the-island trip consists of the eastern and western routes, with the eastern route being the most classic, boasting Hainan's finest sandy beaches. The western route is more primitive, and it usually takes 7-10 days to complete.
♻️ For a round-the-island trip, you can start from either Haikou or Sanya. If you choose only the eastern route, you can start from Haikou and travel clockwise to Sanya.

It's also just a 5-minute drive to the Shenzhou Peninsula Lighthouse, and other popular check-in spots are nearby, really convenient
It's also a great place to take kids during the Qingming holiday

I stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights, and the service can be said to be top-notch, with customer service thoughtfully delivering afternoon tea to the room after check-in, and the ocean view room I booked is spacious and bright, waking up to beautiful views every day makes me feel particularly great.

The main focus of the old-fashioned star is definitely not the facilities. Compared with the newly popular internet celebrity hotels, electronic equipment is definitely not the latest, but it wins in service, solving various needs with a phone call. Hygiene goes without saying.
Buffet breakfast: If needed, you can pack it back to the room to eat, which is very friendly and convenient. You must try the Hou'an powder, it tastes good.
Beach and sea: The hotel is very, very close to the beach, it is very convenient to wade in the waves, catch the sea and watch the sunset at sea. The beach buffet dinner can enjoy a discount price of 308 (regular price 398) if booked one day in advance. Many people set off fireworks on the beach at night, and you can sit by the sea and enjoy the sea breeze. Taking photos during the day is also a variety of shots, big shots are easy to take.
Internet celebrity lighthouse: You can rent a small motorcycle with a hanging bucket, and gallop (slowly take pictures along the way and take pictures of the lighthouse for about an hour and a half) on the most beautiful coconut grove coastal road, or you can take a shuttle bus, 20 yuan round trip per person.
