Quick walk around the parking lot
We arrived late, the visitors center was closed, no map with relative times for hikes. I am looking forward to coming back and hiking the trails. There are fees. Recommend someone update the inform...

A look back at history
This fort was built during the Civil War to protect the Gulf Coastal area from invaders. Well preserved and an easy walkabout morning time frame. Good views of the Gulf of Mexico.
