This groovy bar, located directly upstairs from Pearl Dive, has a great selection of drinks and snacks. We had an office happy hour here and are able to reserve a large area for our party. Our server did a great job -- quick and attentive. We had mussels, the bucket o&#39; chicken, as well as several pizzas such as the spicy grilled shrimp and the veal meatball. Definitely worth checking out.

Black Jack

This restaurant in downtown Washington, DC, has a first-class environment and service, and the seafood dinner is really good.

[Environment] The environment can only be said to be general, there is no very delicate decoration, basically a layer of paint inside. [Taste] Most of the dishes are fried, eating a little greasy, vegetables are good, similar to sweet potato leaves.

This is a Spanish restaurant, the taste is quite good, but we eat relatively little Western food, and we can&#39;t distinguish the various differences between Western food. The dining environment is good, and there are many wines to choose from. We don&#39;t drink without drinking.

This is a super popular French restaurant in D.C., it takes a long time to queue up, originally the French meal is long, the bread inside is authentic, and there is foie gras sauce, which is a must-order dish at every table.

Went with 2 girlfriends for drinks. We Ubered there and got in right away. The Pearl Oyster is downstairs which was very busy and has a small bar. Black Jack is upstairs and there were tons of people, including a bachelorette or birthday party of some sort. The place is pretty lengthy, long-wise spread out and there is an little bit of stairs you go up with another smidge of a level, then the main bar, then a back room (where we didn&#39;t spend time in). We were able to find a table to throw our purses down and got shots and the house wine. The music was so-so. They&#39;d have some good 90s music, then have some weird music. The ambience was great though. Lots of people, you know the DC folk type, just out having a good time with friends. I would return.

Now called Pearl Dive Oyster Palace, this &#39;U Street Corridor&#39; area bar/restaurant is an energetic, congenial spot - highly popular in the neighborhood. The drinks are well crafted (lovely Manhattan), and local beers. Oysters are of course popular. Tip: Go early/off hours. We met friends at 4PM for Happy Hour, and it was already quite full. Easy walk from more than one Metro stop.
