Good taste, but not fit Chinese stomach
We ate in the grill both mornings of our weekend stay in DC, as it was downstairs from our hotel room. The breakfast menu had some variety and I was able to substitute extra fresh fruit for the granola in the "Healthy Alternative" breakfast, which featured plain yogurt, fruit, and a croissant. My husband said the eggs and bacon were also good.
Not worth the price. Our omelettes were tasteless (the eggs weren't seasoned and there was very little filling), the accompanying fried potatoes were cold and not worth the calories, and the toast was made from ordinary bread. The OJ was good and the coffee also fine, although they were slow with refills. (Don't know where he went but the waiter was inattentive.) It's fine for guests who don't want to venture outside, but if you don't mind a walk, there are a lot of other choices around Dupont Circle.
Limited menu, "offbeat" service, average food quality makes you wonder: "why bother?" Answer: Don't.
