China Chilcano is by far my favorite restaurant in DC. Not only is the atmosphere very sleek and chic, but the variety of food is fantastic. I highly recommend the Dancing Yucca, Tam Tam Noodles, and Xiao Long Bao. Blending cultures in this fashion can be hit or miss but China Chilcano pulls it off. Great place for a date night or drinks with friends!

My friend and I have been here a few times and this time wanted to try the menu. At the end, we are ready to cry! &quot; The food, after coming to our table, every joyful taste bud. We chose Pisco wine to compliment our food from tradition and then add the seasoning piscos. Overall, my favorite was the dumpling skin and pineapple was my second. Tasting menu will remind us why overeating is a crime I am not sure I can or want to stand until the end but the whole experience is amazing. Service is as good as ever. Our server immediately contacted us about potential allergies/health hazards. Our waiter and others who brought food to our table explained the dishes and answered any questions. They also offered suggestions for drinks. We could see people around us having the same fascinating experience. HIghly recommend. That&#39;s what we expected from all the restaurants in Jose Andreas.

Husband and I had hoped for lunch at sister Oyamel restaurant but were too hungry to wait for the watch. So we walked a few steps down the street and found Chinese chilcano. The menu concept attracted our interest so we decided to try it. Really! When ordering, we followed the waiter&#39;s advice because the dishes were very unique and each dish was outstanding. And pisco wine went dangerously smooth! &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; Our recommended salmon salad and shared hot rice bowl were my favorites, but I don&#39;t think you can really go to the menu for anything wrong. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; If we return to DC again, we will return to Chilcano in China.

Peruvian food is worldwide. It is almost impossible to explain it! Lima City was founded in 1535 and since then Peru has had transnational immigrants. That is why Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Spanish and Peruvian cuisine taste in many different dishes. So the bottom line is: get the sampler menu. It has a few dishes to make Peruvian dishes some justice. The value is amazing. Not included in the menu is egg yolk fruit ice cream. Worth a try is to add a very delicious fruit.

We are fans of Jose Andres from the first time he opened up the voice (still a favorite), and most of the other places he&rsquo;s been in DC. So what we are particularly interested in is Andr&eacute;s&rsquo; attempt to introduce this blend of Peruvian, Chinese and Japanese cuisine (sampled in Tokyo and Honolulu, but never here), like all Andr&eacute;s restaurants, decorated in colourful and comfortable colors. The bar scene (perhaps the entire restaurant) is crowded and noisy during peak hours, but this is predictable. It was early enough for us to eat, enjoy the charming atmosphere and efficient and friendly service. Our selections include salads, dumplings and an excellent sashimi, accompanied by a good vihno Cape Verde from the rich wine list. It was a good meal at a reasonable price (especially the main downtown location of this restaurant!) and we will be back...
