I&#39;m originally from the DC area and used to frequent this place a lot. I will say it has changed quite a bit. I was visiting my family in Delaware and decided to go here for awhile. There was a local band playing. The food was pretty good and the drink the bartender made was excellent. I will say I am not a lightweight when it comes to drinking but this all I needed was one! It was strong but very tasty. The crowd was very light, much lighter than to be expected for a Saturday night but I actually preferred it that way. I think the cover price is really high considering it was just a local band playing that didn&#39;t even start until after 11:00 pm and they close at 2:00 or 3:00. I was a bit dissapointed in that but overall I enjoyed the night.

Takoma Station Tavern

This review is for the M Street location, which has become a steady addition to our lunch repertoire. The staff is unfailingly friendly (and know us by name by now...) and the soups are delicious. I love that they have such a variety of soups - about 5-6 to choose from every day, and they change the menu every day. We always do take out and eat back at the office, I would probably not recommend eat in because the counter space is tiny and right by the door.

If you are new to the area and want to get to know DC quick fast and in a hurry! Come here! They have the people, wings and mambo sauce, fish and chips and the best Long Island iced teas for twenty years and running! Jazz, and smooth Go Go drops you and transforms you to days gone by but, in a adult,and safe environment! Tell David, that Petty sent you!

I have eaten at Ledo pizza for years... Decades.... Many Decades. &quot;Square pizzas because we don&#39;t cut corners&quot; That was the motto I was accustom to seeing and hearing.I have consumed more pizza and wings than anything else here. Salads and sandwiches were a close second. Why step out of the box?!? Why!!!! I consumed quite a bit of &quot;sports bar food&quot; over the weekend and attempted to eat a little lighter during the week. Pasta and salad! I saw that the menu has been revamped and decided to go for the Bolognese and a side salad. They have an open kitchen and I have a habit of watching my food as it is being prepared. Really clean kitchen! It was great to see that items were made from recipes that were assembled in house versus pre-made items. What I graciously received was an extremely large and hot portion of fettuccine tossed in a standard and slightly sweet tomato sauce with ground beef topped off with a chiffonade of basil and grated Parmesan cheese. Simple meat sauce but not a great Bolognese. I searched and searched for panchetta or even diced carrots and onions but to no avail. According to the website, only beef is used in the sauce. Not a bad sauce but I truly expected more. I guess if they used pork products it would alienate a portion of the guest. I looked at their menu, when I returned to my home, and compared the &quot;Spaghetti to the Bolognese. They appear to use a meatless version of their sauce for everything else. Not a problem. Simple tossed salad with iceberg, cherry tomatoes, sliced red onions and croutons.... Pre-made and sitting in the cooler..... Just a little saddened that portions of the lettuce was a little on the brown side. I would return here because the pizza is great! it&#39;s one of my childhood comfort foods. Heck! As a child I even worked here when it was a Pizza Hut!

It&#39;s a pleasure to talk about this &quot;mom and pop&quot; store. Authentic and unique. The taste of the Roti and soup can not be duplicated. It&#39;s like being in a &quot;Trinidad&quot; family&#39;s house for dinner. Host was kind and courteous and I will make this a stop every time I&#39;m in the DC, Maryland, VA area. Great food and experience.
