Food and service is always consistently great. You are always welcome by friendly servers and sushi chefs.Happy hour is always enjoyed by returning customers. The sushi is carefully prepared and there are always interesting specials on the menu.
We had a lovely al fresco lunch at Yosaku today. They have great lunch specials and the extra $2 for a big plate of fresh salad was worth it. I had the sushi/sashimi platter and it came with miso soup, a bean sprout side and extra rice as well as fresh fish and an avocado/crab maki as well. Good value, pleasant staff. And perfect day to eat outside -- spring is finally here!
Yosaku is a wonderful restaurant with Japanese sushi chefs and well prepared food. It is not the best in DC, but probably the friendliest. If you arrive before the end of happy hour at 7:30pm it is also one of the least expensive for sushi. Also, their vegetable dishes are very good, especially their seaweed salad, perhaps the best in DC! Service is very friendly and they accommodate families nicely.
