And like the atmosphere and the card promises good steak. We were not disappointed! The steak was ordered and also on the Thuringian board — the mixture of Thuringian sausages, dumplings, rolls, etc. was really good.
There is nothing much to say here: gastronomically, I've seen far more exciting places than Weimar, but this is not bad at all. Nice atmosphere, good food, and as so often in Germany, reasonable prices.
Elegant restaurant with Thuringian dishes with a modern twist also other cuisines. Wine list is good with excellent local wines.
The venue itself is nice but the menu was limited and the food a little dated (i.e. it was probably quite innovative and different 10 years ago). The restaurant does specialise in steaks and the meat was good, but the accompaniments, a big slab of garlic bread and a soft cheese stuffed tomato, left something to be desired.
German cuisine is more expensive, mainly due to rate issues, which is very artistic.
