Best attraction in Wales?The most well known and popular attraction in Cardiff and possibly in Wales is Cardiff Castle. Visited by people from all over the world, you'll often here a lot of accents and languages while you're walking the grounds. Some of this structure dates back to the Roman's and more to the Medieval times but a lot of it was rebuilt in the 1850-1880 for Lord Bute of Cardiff. There are large grounds to walk, and you can take in the awesome structure around you. The fort surrounded by a moat is very impressive and although a ruin you can still climb to the top and see the views. This is where important prisoners would have been kept. The main building is lavish and luxurious. With intricate and beautiful details. The Arab room and the library are especially eye catching. This is where the Lord would have lived. A magical castle in the heart of the cityCardiff castle is a grade 1 listed building in the heart of downtown Cardiff, one of the fastest growing cities in Europe. The castle is set in the grounds of Bute Park which offers a a peaceful break from the city, with the historical castle offering a beautiful contrast to the modern developments around it. The original castle was built in the 11th century on top of an old Roman fort, however the castle gained its fame after the work done under the eye of the Marquess of Bute. The castle has impressive ground with stunning interiors, the high vantage points give amazing views of Cardiff and enable you to see the coast all the way to the mountains. There is an entrance fee for the Castle grounds, museum and interiors but they are worth it. Walking: Cardiff City Centre is really easy to walk around as it isn’t that big and if you don’t fancy walking or have difficulties walking, I recommend this Cardiff hop on hop off bus to show you the best Cardiff tourist attractions. Cycling: Cardiff has recently had OVO bikes installed and as I found out, they are a great way to see the city and there are plenty of cycle lanes in Cardiff. I recommend hiring a bike to get from Cardiff City Centre to Cardiff Bay and for cycling around Cardiff Bay along the water so you can see much more in a shorter amount of time.SaadAli10
