I’ve been here thrice: once when I was younger with family and friends, then in 2019 when my relatives from abroad came to visit us and in during the pandemic, I cycled from London to Windsor Castle! Highly recommend! also Legoland is located nearby and Eaton College as well! There’s a lot to see and do here!

Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of Her Majesty The Queen. Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George's Chapel.
The Windsor Castle includes the State Apartments that are used today by the Royal Family, and other must-see moments within these spectacular rooms, like the Waterloo Chamber, the Crimson Drawing Room and Semi-State Rooms.
The entire Windsor Castle can be divided into upper area, middle area and lower area. The upper area mainly includes palace furnishings such as Waterloo Chanmber, galleries, Queen Mary's Dolls' house, etc.
The central area is dominated by a round tower surrounded by a rose garden. It was originally built of wood and later rebuilt with stone. The Round Tower was once a prison for political opponents of the royal family, but now it is mainly used to preserve royal documents and photography collections.
St. George's Chapel in the Lower District is a fine example of English Gothic architecture. It is famous for its magnificent stone fan-vaulted roof and detailed and gorgeous stained glass. It has also hosted many royal weddings.

Windsor Castle is a royal residence at Windsor in the English county of Berkshire. I really love this castle as it is full of historical stories.
Windsor castle is one of the oldest castle in the world and good. You will enjoy with family and friends. One day trip and you will be refreshed after visiting Windsor and the castle. I have 4 stars and 1 star minus for no photography allowed inside castle (closed areas). Some points are very good and nice and good for photography (open area). Well maintained and green.
Except that it is not as big as expected, but it is really: exquisite and refreshing. Photographs are not allowed inside, so share some external photos.
