Daming Temple （East Gate）

I feel a different mood every time I come to a place. This time I’m here to see the history of Daming Room right before my eyes.

Daming Temple is a temple that combines temples and gardens. It was built during the next year of the Southern Dynasties, so it was named Daming Temple. It has been the place where Buddhism flourished in Yangzhou from ancient times to the present. During the Tang Dynasty, Monk Jianzhen served as the presiding officer at Daming Temple. At the invitation of friends, he went to Japan for six times. The exchange of Buddhism has made Daming Temple an important ancient temple for the cultural relationship between China and Japan in Chinese history. The meditation concept is deep and the garden scenery is beautiful. The back garden of Daming Temple is also a typical Jiangnan garden. You can feel the profound meaning of Buddhism while admiring the exquisite scenery.
