Huxi Yeyue, one of the eight oldest scenic spots in Xiamen, is a great place to enjoy the moon during the Mid-Autumn Festival on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month.
It is close to the botanical garden, hills and mountains, not high, free of charge, it’s a good climb. There are several temples on the mountain, you can focus on it, and then many cliffs and stone carvings are another attraction. The top of the mountain can overlook the scenery of Xiamen.
Huxi Rock is a nature reserve and park in Xiamen. It is located on the southwest side of Wanshiyan and is connected to Bailudong Temple. There is an ancient temple in Huxi Rock, called Donglin Temple, also called Yuping Temple. It was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, and it was rebuilt in 1984. In the early morning here, many Buddhist believers will come here to burn incense and worship the Buddha, reciting the poems, and you can feel the influence of the Buddha system here.
Xiamen Huxiyan Temple, also known as Huxiyan Temple, was built by Tang Chenyuan. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, the gentleman Lin Maoshi raised funds to build. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Monk Yuan Fei came to Xiamen to preside over the temple at the invitation of the Fujian navy admiral Wu Yingzhi. After more than 30 years of painstaking management, it has become quite large.
Very beautiful place to visit.
