Ancient Wu Tang Mountain is located deep within the Taihang Mountains, to the northwest of Wu'an City in Hebei. It is a historically significant mountain in Taoism. At the peak of Wu Tang, a Tang Dynasty stele was excavated with the inscription "Ancient Wu Tang Mountain." It was verified that this was indeed the historical Wu Tang of the north that many had sought. Wu Tang has steep hills and beautiful creeks with ponds. Taoist temples are clustered at the peak and in the foothills, the earliest of which was built during the Tang Dynasty.
