About Xingyang: Xingyang is situated in the north of Henan province close to the city of Zhengzhou. The area was located on the border between the two contending powers of Western Chu and Han almost 2000 years ago. The border between the two is written on Chinese chess (known as 'Xiangqi') boards to mark the division between the two competing sides. Xingyang is also famous for the many battles that were fought here in ancient times. It is surrounded by picturesque scenery and has a number of scenic attractions including Gubaidu Feihuang Scenic Area, home to an ice skating rink. Visitors can also take a trip on a sheepskin raft and go for a camel ride.
