Located in the east district of Xining, very close to Xining Station, it is the private residence of the warlord Ma Bufang of the Republic of China, named "Xin Lu". Now it is changed to Qinghai Folk Museum. It is the only official residence built with jade in the country. Tickets are 30 yuan. Each courtyard and important halls and houses are connected by secret passages. It is worth visiting.
A place worth visiting for understanding the history of the Northwestern Republic of China. I used to take my friends there because I was in the city. One or two hours of play time would be enough. Unfortunately, Northwest King Ma Bufang was the commander-in-chief of the Red Army West Route Army. Everyone knows the reason. Since 2016, it has been closed in the name of internal renovation.
It was built in June 1942 (the 31st year of the Republic of China) and was completed in June of the following year. It was named "Xin Lu". The second Yu "Xin Lu" inscribed by Lin Sen, Chairman of the National Government, is still inlaid above the lintel of the gate. Today the mansion is also the Folk Museum of Qinghai Province.
Although it is closed, you can see its grandeur from the periphery
It is indeed a good place to understand the history of the revolutions in modern history and the development of the modern Chinese revolution.
