Tianshan Tianchi is a quintessential attraction in Xinjiang. The park is located within Fukang, Changji Prefecture, about 110 kilometers from the Xinjiang capital of Ürümqi. Tourists from many other places who visit the park set out from Ürümqi. The surface of Tianchi Lake reflects the cloud-wreathed Bogda Peak. From mid-November until late March, the scenic area holds the “Tianshan Tianchi Ice and Snow Festival.” During this time, guests can go to nearby ski slopes to enjoy skiing and other ice- and snow-related activities.
Kanas Lake is tucked away deep in the mountains and forests of Burqin County, nearly 800 kilometers away from the capital of Xinjiang. At the gorgeous and fertile lakeside, you can see the clear and tranquil surface of the lake. The lake's color changes often with the seasons and weather. The area around Kanas Lake is dense with dragon spruce and Faber’s fir trees, and when autumn arrives, the forest shows off different colors of gold, deep red, and dark green.
Sayram Lake is one of Xinjiang’s famous scenic destinations. The lake sits against snow-covered mountains and is surrounded by vast grassland. All this scenery plus the lake’s clear azure water creates the beauty of a scroll painting. Every year in June and July, the lake's surroundings fill with every color of wildflower, a beautiful sight not to be missed. The lake covers a large area, with a circumference of approximately 60 kilometers. Visitors typically need two days to visit the sights around it. You can also photograph beautiful lakeside sunrises and sunsets.
