Shenzhen is one of the fastest growing cities in history, 40 years ago it was little more than a small fishing village across the water from Hong Kong and now it’s a sprawling metropolis home to nearly 20 million people. Built along the waterfront in the cities Bao’on district it has become a new hub for shopping, eating and culture - alongside huge office developments which are popping up all over the city. There are multiple malls, parks and food streets and a lot of family friendly areas along the waterfront - including an iconic Ferris wheel that offers stunning views of the eastern side of the city The development is right under the flight path for the airport so if you are interested in aviation you can grab a coffee, sit outside and watch the flights coming into the airport. Bottles and Bites in Shenzhen, Oh Bay Mall. As I stepped into Bottles and Bites in Oh Bay Mall in Shenzhen, I was immediately struck by the cozy and intimate ambiance of the place. The lighting was warm and soft, and the decor was tastefully minimalist. As I made my way to my table, I couldn't help but notice the well-stocked bar on one side of the restaurant. Once I was seated at my table, I perused the menu, which featured a tantalizing selection of starters, mains, and desserts. The presentation was stunning, with the different items arranged in an artful and appetizing way. Throughout my meal, the service was impeccable, with the attentive and friendly staff checking on my family and I regularly and making sure we had everything we needed. Bottles and bites is a must visit when you are in the Oh Bay Area. The food was amazing, the service was great, and the location in Oh Bay Mall was perfect for a leisurely and enjoyable afternoon out. My family and I took the metro to Linhai station, exit B2, and visited OH Bay Mall in Bao’an Central District. There are many family-friendly attractions, restaurants, and shops to visit in this area. This area is absolutely beautiful during the day and especially at night. Our family had lunch at Bottles and Bites with great views of the ferris wheel. After that, we visited the Zhongshuge bookstore, enjoyed the sunset, and took a ride on the Bay Glory (ferris wheel), which was definitely one of the most amazing experiences. The Bay Glory ferris wheel is in OH Bay in Bao'an District. Metro: Line 5 to Linhai Station (临海站), Exit B2 The Ferris wheel has a height of 128 meters and a diameter of 113.3 meters. We enjoyed the scenery of Qianhai Bay and the air tour lasted for 30-minutes. Children and babies are allowed to enter, we went with our 5 year and 5 month old. Children less than 1 meter tall don't have to pay. Also, strollers are left downstairs. Another featured attraction in Qianhaiwan as of the moment is the B.DUCK Playtime spot. Located on the West Coast of the Bay area, just next to Celebration square. Qianhaiwan modern world can be reached through train ride, and/or didi ride or taxi. Line 5 Linhai subway station Exit B2. Bump cars, train rides, basketball hoops, some board and table games and many other games to choose and play with. Also, theres a lot of snack shops all around the area selling milkteas, sausages, breads, and even ice cream. They operate from 4pm onwards. Yepppp! Kids got their own spot on this massive commercial space in Qianhaiwan. They call it OH Bay's Kids World. Specifically, Its located almost at the end of the West Coast area next to the Skate Park and the Sand Beach area. A huge playground for the young rascals with oversized structures like that gigantic horn slide. It has a climbing wall, swings, nets, slides, and many more. Parents can watch them over on the shades of them thick greenery on the sides of the park. The spot is situated overlooking the Nanshan-Baoan linking bridge. Qianhai bay area is the modern spot that Shenzhen government is promoting as of the moment. This is a urban center in the city of Shenzhen known as the Manhattan of the Pearl River Delta Area. Modern office high rises, the Qianhai bay, the West coast and the East coast, the massive OH Bay mall, all being a part of the fast growing Qianhai. Located at the sea area of Nanshan district and west of Baoan district in Shenzhen. East coast is also known as Back bay where the giant ferris wheel is located, the Oh Bay mansion, Aqua wall and the Rainbow bridge. Seeing this particular spot is like heaven to me! ❤️ I am a bookworm myself, so coming here with this facade just made my day. The place is called Spiral Bookstore located on Ground floor of Oh Bay Mall in Qianhai Bay area, Baoan district in Shenzhen. Aside from the fact that the decor and interior of the whole bookstore is absolutely beautiful, the proprietress is so friendly and very welcoming. Thousand of books of different subjects and aspects of life and as a bonus, they have a English section of books. Also, the bookstore got its own cafe inside it too. This is the prominent landmark of the newly developed Qianhaiwan (Qianhai Bay Area), located in Baoan district in the city of Shenzhen. I wanted to see the machinery that operates this giant wheel. So i went under it, and inspect. 😂 I have to check it before riding it. (i havent been to a ferris wheel ride in my entire life, so you will understand that theres a certain part of me that still scared hahaha) Solid steel and i concluded its safe to ride it, so i dug deep into my bravest core and decided finally.. I'MMA DO IT! 🤟 So went in the counter, getting me one ticket. The teller said, ITS CLOSED FOR NOW! 😂😂😂 i dont know if i was sad or happy that its closed.
