Photos of Xuchang Baling Bridge Scenic Area

The Baling Bridge over the Qingni river in western Xuchang City was formerly known as the Bali Bridge. It was said this is the site where the famous general Guan Yu left Cao Cao after a disagreement, described in the famous historical story from the Three Kingdoms Period: "Ci Cao Tiao Pao“. After many instances of damage and subsequent repairs, the Baling Bridge has changed quite a bit from its original appearance. Even later, due to the construction of a water conservation project, the original bridge was demolished, and only the stone carving of the "Ci Cao Tu" was saved. The temple on the west side of Baling Bridge was built by Guan Yu for future generations. It is a famous scenic spot and a node on the travel itinerary of the "China Ancient Cultural Relics Tour".
