Located in the city, Zhuwa Hot Spring was opened in 1879. It is a very old hot spring in Fuchu City and one of the famous Beppu Eight Soups. Because the original roof is made of bamboo, it is called “Bamboo Hot Spring”. The current building was built in the 13th year of the Showa era (1938), and the front is a Tang-breaking (wave-like) luxury roof, and its appearance has become a symbol of Beppu Hot Spring. The interior is mainly made of wood and building materials, which is quite ancient. On the right hand side of the gate is the counter, and on the left hand side is the female soup (female-only hot spring). The female soup area is wide, providing ordinary hot springs and rare geothermal sand baths.
