Yan'an is the holy land of the Chinese revolution, and Qingliang Mountain is the cradle of the press and publishing industry in New China. Yan'an News Memorial Hall is located at the southern foot of Qingliang Mountain in Yan'an City. It is a special memorial hall for journalism. The shape of the pavilion is in the shape of a cave, implying that the party's journalism was created and developed from the cave in Yan'an. The memorial hall was built with funds from the Central Propaganda Department, State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, General Administration of Press and Publication and other departments (units). The exhibition hall is divided into five units and displayed in four exhibition halls. There are more than 180 cultural relics on display, and more than 400 precious historical photos, documents and various graphic materials. Extensive use of scene restoration, image synthesis and other displays, combined with modern high-tech display methods such as sound, light and electricity, vividly reproduces the development process and achievements of the new China's press and publishing industry during the Yan'an period.
