Alexander's Prison

Only one part of the building in and around Alexandria prison has been preserved and the rest has been damaged. The dome is made of mud brick and is divided into two floors, decorated in blue and gold. The dome is a precious heritage of Mongol architecture and inspired many Persian architects after it. Several rooms in Alexandria prison have now been converted into small shops selling handmade bronze sculptures.
