Yerevan Cathedral, also known as St. George's Cathedral, is the church of the larger Armenian Apostolic Church in Yerevan, and the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Tbilisi and is the largest religious building in the South Caucasus. It can be seen in many places in the city of Revan. Construction of Yerevan Cathedral began on April 7, 1997, and it was dedicated on September 23, 2001. Pope Paul II visited the church after the consecration.
