Shidu Scenic Area

Shidu Scenic Area, located southwest of Fangshan District, Beijing, has the only large-scale karst karst landform in northern China. Shidu Scenic Area is a National Geographic 4A-level scenic spot and national geological park in China.

Fangshan World Geopark has eight parks, of which Shidu is the core park of eight parks - Shidu Park. Shidu Scenic Area is a river valley formed by the Juma River, a tributary of the Daqing River, cutting the northern end of the Taihang Mountains, about 20 kilometers. Because there are ten ferry crossings across the Juma River in the history of this valley, it is named "Ten Ferry". The road has been repaired into the valley, and these ten ferry crossings have been converted into a flood bridge. There is no real ferry, but the name of Shidu has been used.
