Zhenbeibao West Film Art Center is located in Yinchuan's Xixia District. This outdoor studio might seem a little rough and simple at first but it's well worth traveling the distance to see. Many famous Chinese films, including "The Herdsman", "Red Sorghum", "A Chinese Odyssey", and "14 Blades", were filmed here. Gong Li, Jiang Wen, Zhang Yimou - it seems as if every famous Chinese actor, actress and director has been here at some time. Within the three parts of the studio, Ming Dynasty City, Qing Dynasty City, Old Yinchuan Street, visitors are bound to see all sorts of familiar movie scenes. Additionally, visitors can even dress up in costume, play with movie props, and walk the ground where famous movies were filmed and famous stars once walked.
