Amazing Chinese new year experience. Everything about Chinatown is vibrant and beautiful. The restaurants were wonderful. The people very kind. Definitely a place to go to if you haven't been.
Yokohama Chinatown (Yokohama Chūkagai) is Japan's largest Chinatown, located in central Yokohama. A large number of Chinese stores and restaurants can be found in the narrow and colorful streets of Chinatown. Various events and festivals such as Chinese New Year around the beginning of February are also held at Chinatown.

Relaxing park with gorgeous views
It's a gorgeous park in Yokohama with seaside views as well as lovely views of the city's skyline. It's especially lovely at night when you get to see all the bright lights.
The park is relaxing and a great place for a stroll as well! There's also a ferris wheel in the area. Make sure you make a stop here if you're in Yokohama.

Not visiting Yokohama during a trip to Japan is truly a missed opportunity!
Going to Kamakura a thousand times is not as good as visiting Yokohama just once! It's really comfortable!
It's just over an hour by train from Tokyo, and you can do a round trip in one day! Get off at Sakuragicho Station, and right out of the subway, you can see a very large Ferris wheel. Walk all the way to the Red Brick Warehouse, follow the path and you'll see a pink roller coaster, a very pretty amusement park, and then you'll see the sea...
There are many little benches by the side, perfect for sitting idly, watching the hustle and bustle, and there are also many pigeons sunbathing on the grass, so leisurely...

Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Ramen museum
Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum was founded on March 6th, 1994 as the world's first Ramen-themed amusement park. Our concept has been to be the one-stop place to enjoy the flavors of this national dish from renowned shops across Japan without stepping on a plane.
An exhibition area where visitors can learn about the history and culture of ramen is also located on the first floor. In the "Ramen Making Experience class" visitors can make noodles using the traditional Chinese method of "green bamboo beating," and enjoy learning how flour is transformed into ramen.

Showa Era Vibe at a ramen museum
Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum- Part 2
Who would have thought that you could go back in time to the Showa era at this museum? Besides eating ramen, you can do a lot more activities here. Showa Street inside the museum is perfect for taking pictures. While strolling around, you will come across an ice cream shop, where you can try the famous ice cream in Hokkaido. You will also see the Dagashi-ya where you can buy sweets and toys from the Showa era. I bet Japanese people feel nostalgic whenever they step into the museum. This place is definitely for the hungry and curious.

World's first Ramen-themed amusement park
Are you a fan of RAMEN? Then you should go to Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum! There is a wide selection of Japanese Ramen here. You can learn about the history and culture of ramen. Plus, there is a “Ramen Making Experience class”. There are several ramen shops in the museum, and believe me, choosing what to eat, is the hardest part. We finally had Ryu Shanghai Hoten which is a hot spicy miso ramen. The shops were packed with people when we went, so we had to wait more than an hour! That was worth the wait tho!
The admission fee is pretty cheap too!!!
The ticket for adults (19 or older) is 380 yen, and for
children (6 to 12) & seniors(60 and over) is 100 yen. It's
free for children younger than 6 years old.

Red bricks
I visited this place many times and specially when there is some special event going on around here. There are many food shops inside and the surrounding view of Yokohama bay is also very beautiful and relaxing. I must say it a good place to visit.
A beautiful old structure - German architecture, most likely. Hosting events around it. The sight of this red bricks building is a treat to eyes and it attracts you.

Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse
#2024wish
This is a must-visit in Yokohama. Three buildings. The first floors are all food oriented. Lots of food options. The 3rd floor also has restaurants. There are on the 2nd floor and scattered throughout are artisan outlets, specialty stores, tchotchkes, and other zakka. On the weekends, they have food trucks galore. This place is a surprising food mecca.
I want to come back here in summer and try the food and drinks.
