York City Wall is a 5 km long square city wall built by the Romans as a barrier against foreign enemies. These city walls can be seen from the train station entering the city. The city wall is centered on York Minster, and it takes about 2 hours to circle the city wall. In York, the entrance to the city is called "Bar", and the entrance to the city wall includes BoothamBar in the north and MicklegateBar in the southwest, as well as MonkBar in the northeast and WalmgateBar in the southeast. Visitors can only take a short walk, such as BoothamBar near York Minster to MonkBar, along the way, you can see the landscape of York Minster.
