137***66If you have an hour or two (free time), then this is a good place for you to visit. The scenery here alone is worth your visit. The prison here is a great place to enjoy the view of the Colorado River. The guard tower here is a good place to take pictures. Visitors can see what the early prisons in the West looked like here. The open-air cell with iron doors must be (makes people think) awesome in the 120-degree hot summer. The museum here also has craft works and prisoners' files. After the prison was officially closed and ceased to use, Yuma High School began to take over the use of the place. This place is also known as Yuma criminals.
137***66We had to turn around due to time, but we enjoyed this one-mile hike very much. This is a simple hike. There are a lot of rocks and you need to climb, so wear non-slip shoes. The children love it here. But parking is a big problem. It is recommended to go here early, as the toilets cannot flush. But the scenery is beautiful.
137***66We were in Chicago for a family gathering in July and decided to go here. Every one of us enjoyed our day here. I like the shady places on the grass and the picnic tables, and there are a lot of people around. Some of us enjoy sunbathing here, while others enjoy the beach and sea. They often check whether the facilities here are safe and clean up the water in time, which is great. There is a swimming lane in the middle, and anyone who wants to enter the deep water area has to do a swimming test. This is really a good idea. There are also places to buy food, and the price is affordable, it is delicious, there are two choices of healthy or vegetarian. Unlike Six Flags or Disneyland, the prices of burgers, salads and sandwiches here are not high. I was pleasantly surprised. This is a beautiful venue and very clean!
137***66Carver Park is nothing etravagant or super exciting, but it is still nice. They have fishing, boating, and other activities. Great for bike riders and early and evening walkers. I love swimming in this lake when it is not busy.
TodemmyTook a visit with my 2 pups. Trails were muddy, icy, and/or snow packed in shaded areas. Went mid morning mid day, not a lot of traffic on trails. (Good for us because the dogs get overexcited with other dogs.)Beautiful this time of year.Reminder to people dogs need to be leashed and pick up after your dog.
