Staying in the "Ham Ancient Village", a dream more than a thousand years
along the "China on the tip of the tongue" - "Nuo Deng ham" fragrance, I visited the ancient village in the mountains of western Yunnan
captured happiness.
Nuodeng Ancient Village: A Secret Garden Hidden in the Depths of Time
Stepping into Nuodeng Ancient Village is like entering a time tunnel, where every step treads upon a thousand years of history.
Every brick and tile here tells an ancient story, captivating the heart and soul.
The houses of the ancient village are scattered in a well-arranged manner, with their earth and wood structures appearing simple and solid. The green tiles on the roofs shine under the sunlight, as if narrating the vicissitudes of time. Strolling along the cobblestone paths, it feels as if one can hear the echoes of history and sense the tranquility and serenity of the ancient village.
Come spring, Nuodeng Ancient Village turns into a sea of flowers. The mountains bloom profusely, their fragrance overflowing, attracting groups of butterflies dancing gracefully.
Autumn is the golden season, with the aroma of ripe rice wafting through the air, complementing the Cang Mountains and creating a breathtakingly beautiful picture.
Speaking of Nuodeng Ancient Village, how can one not mention the famous Nuodeng ham? Its unique taste and aroma are unforgettable at first try.
Here, you can witness the process of making ham and appreciate the wisdom and diligence of the Bai people.
The residents are warm and hospitable, their smiles as warm as the sunshine. Talking with them, it's as if one can hear the heartbeat of the ancient village and feel the simplicity and sincerity.
In the evening, sitting in the courtyard of the ancient village, watching the sunset slowly descend, a nameless emotion wells up in the heart.
Everything here seems so peaceful, so beautiful, as if time itself has slowed down at this moment.
Nuodeng Ancient Village, a secret garden hidden in the depths of time. There are too many stories and beauties here waiting for us to discover.
If you are also tired of the hustle and bustle of the city, why not come here to take a look and feel the peace and beauty that comes from the bottom of the heart.

The Mysterious Nuodeng Ancient Village in Dali | Where the wind blows
Today's destination is Nuodeng Ancient Village.
The first time I came to Dali, I wanted to visit this place.
It was only on my third visit that I had the chance.
Nuodeng is a lesser-known ancient village in Dali.
It preserves many buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Living off salt production and ham,
three-hundred-year-old residences
sit quietly in what seems like frozen time,
idly daydreaming
as they watch the wisps of cooking smoke, the sunrise, and sunset.
It's more comfortable to stay for a few more days.
'The hillside with tigers,' Nuodeng Ancient Village, see you next time.

Taiji Diagram Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Yunlong Tai Chi Diagram - A Masterpiece of Nature
After leaving Yunlong in the morning, I ascended to the best viewing point for the Yunlong Tai Chi Diagram, the 'Yunlong Tai Chi Viewing Platform'.
The Tai Chi Diagram in the morning is shrouded in a misty veil of dawn fog, resembling a fairyland. However, from a photography standpoint, if possible, it would be better to schedule the visit in the afternoon when the lighting is more favorable.
The winding river outlines the yin and yang sides of the Tai Chi in a large alluvial plain in the mountains, with small hills and villages in the middle embellishing the two Tai Chi eyes. It is exquisitely lifelike, truly a miraculous work of nature's craftsmanship!

In Dali, there is an unknown place called Yunlong. With the "tip of the tongue", the village of Nuo Deng is popular, but few people know that Yunlong has this natural Taiji figure in addition to Nuo Deng.
Yunlong Bus Station is not far away from the Taiji map. It needs to take a small three-wheel ride in the county town to climb all the way. The landscape platform looks like it is not long before it is built, and there is no charge. The Taiji map seen here, Can't be described as spectacular, sighing that nature's handwriting is really not easy
this season is also very good to see, it is said that the best season is when the rape blossoms.

Baofeng Ancient Town Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Baofeng Ancient Town in Dali | With a long history, outstanding people and a tranquil and comfortable environment
Baofeng Ancient Town is located in Yunlong County, Dali, Yunnan. During the Qing Dynasty, it was the administrative center of Yunlong Prefecture, until the county seat of Yunlong was moved 20 miles north to Shimen in the early Republic of China. Walking through the streets and lanes of Baofeng Ancient Town, the old appearance of the bustling market can still be vaguely seen. It is an ancient town with a long history, outstanding people, and a tranquil and comfortable environment.
Baofeng, formerly known as Luoma, Luomajing, and Jinquanjing, is one of the birthplaces of the ancient Yunlong people. In ancient times, Yunlong County was called Bisu County, and 'Bisu' in the ancient Bai language means 'salt producing area'. Since the Han Dynasty, salt wells have been mined in Yunlong.
The residences in Baofeng are all typical Bai ethnic style, living along the Xijiang River and the mountains. The most representative building is the former residence of Dong Ze, which has a history of more than 100 years.
Dong Ze's former residence is the birthplace and growth place of Dong Ze, a pioneer of education in Yunnan Province, one of the founders of Donglu University (now Yunnan University), and the first principal, known as the 'Father of Higher Education in Yunnan', and a famous pioneer of education, finance, and aviation in modern Yunnan history.
The existing buildings of the former residence are basically Qing Dynasty architectural styles, facing east from the west, covering an area of 1023.5 square meters. It is a five-entry residential building group composed of five courtyards, and is one of the largest courtyards in Bai ethnic residences.
In the Baofeng Salt Well Culture Exhibition Hall, we saw the Luoma Salt Well. Under the introduction of the staff, it seemed to see the ancient salt making process. The ancient town is not big, and the people of Baofeng are very kind and enthusiastic. They took the initiative to guide us and introduce the historical sites of the ancient town.
New year, new atmosphere, why not start 2024 with a trip‼️

In the deep mountain valley of 1800 above sea level in Dali, Yunnan, there is a god-given taste. In the millennium, there are only two natural salt wells. The generations of the ancient villages of the ancient times have been derived from the localities and have passed down the long-standing national taste. Nuo Deng, a millennium Bai village relying on salt wells, was famous for his popularity in the first episode of the first season of "China on the Tip of the Tong". Visitors from all over the world come here to taste the Norton ham that inherits history and story.

Big Wave Dam - a dam worthy of "waves"
Have you ever been to such a place, sitting in the world, watching the clouds.
In front of you, the trees are lush, green grass;
beside you, the cows are leisurely, the mountain wind is low;
A small stream slowly passes through the grass, the stream is crystal clear, you can see the water at a glance The sandstone, with stones and branches in the stream, can easily jump to the other side.
Standing at the end of the big dam, can't see the margin of the green land; walking on the soft meadow, the heart will become softer; the shadow of the row of pine trees on the meadow is pulled by the old elders, the sun The figure also stretched; I couldn't help but lie on the soft carpet. The clouds in the blue sky above the head gently moved the sound of the steps, and even a flower blossoming sound could be heard.
This is a plateau meadow with oil paintings; this is a paradise that wants to jump, roll and scream a few times; it is like a beautiful dream.
